Every symptom below points at the same thing: water leaving a pressurized line somewhere you cannot see it. Homeowners describe it a dozen different ways - "mystery water on floor", "water coming from nowhere", "carpet wet no leak", "wet spot on floor no leak", "water on floor no leak". Underneath all of them is one question, where is water coming from, and a free leak check answers it the same day.
Twin Eagles Plumbing's CFC-licensed team locates hidden leaks and shows you the proof before quoting the repair. We work on homes, condos, restaurants, hotels, and multi-unit properties across Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Marco Island, Golden Gate, Port Charlotte, and Venice.
Wet floors, warm spots, and water under the slab
- Wet spot on floor - A wet spot on floor tile that returns an hour after you dry it means the source is below, not above. If the floor is wet again by morning, the slab is holding water
- Warm spot on floor - A warm spot on floor tile is the classic hot-water slab leak. A hot spot on floor surfaces long before any water does
- Water coming up through floor - Water coming up from floor joints and grout lines, or water coming up through concrete, means the slab underneath is already saturated
- Water seeping through concrete - Water seeping through floor slabs, or moisture coming through concrete floor surfaces, shows up as a dark halo that keeps spreading
- Wet concrete floor - Wet concrete, a wet concrete slab, a damp concrete floor in a garage or lanai, or a wet spot on concrete that comes back with no rain to explain it
- Water under tile - Water under floor tile lifts grout and sounds hollow underfoot. A wet tile floor that never fully dries is the same story
- Buckling or warped floors - Buckling floor water damage and warped floor water damage in wood or laminate mean the leak has been running for weeks, not days
Wet walls, ceilings and drywall
- Wet wall or damp wall - A wet wall, a damp wall, or moisture in wall cavities at floor level means water is tracking down a stud bay. If the wall is wet to the touch, the drywall is already holding it
- Wet drywall - Damp drywall, wet drywall, or a wet spot on drywall that is visibly bigger the next time you look
- Water stain on ceiling - A water stain on ceiling board, a wet spot on ceiling paint, or water dripping from ceiling fixtures means a supply line or drain above it
- Water stain on wall - A water stain on wall paint, or paint bubbling in a line just above the baseboard
- Water seeping through wall - Water seeping through wall board, or water coming through wall tile in a shower surround, points at the valve body behind it
- Musty smell in wall - A musty smell in wall cavities means water has been sitting long enough for mold to take hold behind the surface
- Hear water running in walls - If you hear water running in walls with every tap shut off, that is pressurized water escaping. The sound of running water in wall cavities does not stop on its own
Wet carpet, baseboards, and water outside the house
- Wet carpet - Wet carpet, or a wet spot on carpet against one wall that dries and comes back, usually traces to a slab or wall line rather than a spill
- Wet baseboards - Wet baseboards, or baseboards wet along a single wall, are often the first visible sign of a slab leak
- Water pooling outside house - Water pooling outside house walls, or a soggy patch of yard that never dries out, usually means the buried service line
- Water leak outside house - A water leak outside house walls between the meter and the slab is on your side of the meter, not the utility's
A high water bill and a spinning meter
- High water bill - A high water bill with no change in habits is the most common first sign. A high water bill no visible leak accounts for is still a leak
- Water bill doubled - If your water bill doubled in one cycle, something has been running around the clock since the last read
- Water meter spinning - Shut every fixture off and watch the dial. A water meter spinning with the house off confirms it before we ever arrive

CALL (239) 699-7770FREQUENTLY ASKED
Leak questions homeowners ask.
My water bill jumped but I don't see any water. Is that a leak?
Usually. A pinhole under the slab can waste thousands of gallons a month without ever surfacing.
I hear running water when everything is shut off. What is that?
Pressurized water escaping inside a wall or under the slab. It does not stop on its own.
Does a warm spot on the floor always mean a slab leak?
Not always, but it's the most common cause. Warm means a hot line under the slab. Cold and damp points to a cold line or a drain.
There's a soggy patch in my yard that never dries. Is that my line or the city's?
The utility owns the line up to the meter. Everything past it, including your yard and under your slab, is yours.
Can a hidden leak cause low water pressure?
Yes. Water escaping before it reaches your fixtures drops pressure at the tap.
Do I call a plumber or a water damage company first?
The plumber. Nothing dries out until the pipe is fixed, and the water keeps coming.
Do you have to break up my floor to find it?
Usually not. Acoustic and thermal gear narrows the spot first, so any opening stays small.
What does leak detection cost?
Nothing for new customers. You get a flat-rate repair price in writing before we start. Call (239) 699-7770.
What Naples Homeowners Say
I had a great experience with this plumbing service when installing my water heater. They were quick to respond to my call and took the time to clearly explain the pricing and what the job would involve before starting. The plumber- Sam who came out was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and respectful of my home. The installation was done efficiently and everything was explained clearly once the job was finished. I really appreciated how smooth and stress-free the whole process was. Highly recommend.
Needed my water heater flushed and heating elements replaced. Their technician was courteous and knowledgeable. He showed me exactly what he was going to do and the price. It was fair versus other quotes and, “if we find something else”…plumbers. Highly recommend Twin Eagles Plumbing
They were able to come out on Sunday, which was amazing because everyone else was either booked or charging extremely high prices. They were professional, responsive, and fair. The work was done efficiently and everything was explained clearly. I truly appreciate the honesty and availability. Highly recommend!
